Back Home Project

October 31, 2018

I’ve been lucky enough to be living away from my home in Vancouver, Canada, for the last 10 months between London and Dubai where I have worked, lived, and had the opportunity to explore as much as possible.

For a few weeks (22 days to be exact) in October of this year, I travelled back to North America for some family events and a much appreciated holiday. During my time back home, I decided I wanted to capture what home looks and feels to me and produce a photo essay and video of my experience. This page is the result of that trip.

Below you will find a series of 80 images I was able to capture while home. I crammed as many of my favourite places, things, and people into the limited time I had.

I wanted this project to serve as a reminder to me, and anyone else who may have moved away from where they grew up, that wherever your home may be, it is still just as, if not more beautiful, than when you left it and that it’s always there for you to go back to if you need.

I am absolutely head over heels in love with Vancouver, British Columbia, and Canada and I’m so thankful for the time I had back there. I hope you enjoy this project as much as I have.

The film from this project will be released this coming Friday (linked here).
